The innovativeness of the alphamesh safety system was also emphasised by Dr Claus Schwenzer, Chair of the BVT Verband Tore and Managing Director of Effertz Tore GmbH during the award ceremony: “This is an innovative safety night closure made of a stainless steel ring mesh. That truly won us over”. And when asked what exactly he thought the innovation was, his answer was: “If I am completely honest – regardless of the ring mesh – such a product does not exist in any other material. This is completely new with all the design possibilities. If it were simply hanging straight, which is possible, you could, of course, use a roller grille or roller shutter. But there are many new possibilities here, and I don’t know of any other product – at least now – that can do that”.
Particularly because of the wide range of possible applications and the flexible, architectural design possibilities of the alphamesh safety system, there was great interest and enthusiasm among the trade public. This was ultimately crowned by the presentation of two awards: the Silver Award in the “Doors” category and the Special Gold Award in the “Design” category.
From 21 to 25 February 2021, the R+T World’s Leading Trade Fair for Roller Shutters, Doors and Sun Protection was held digitally for the first time because of Corona. With 22,000 visitors from 110 countries, it was also a complete success virtually. proMesh GmbH also presented itself for the first time at R+T with alphamesh safety systems.
